Holy shit that was hard. Came super close to aborting mission about 9k in. Super super hot, no shelter from the sun, no wind, no where to get water. Glad I took care of the harder part - the southern half, with all those things mentioned above - first. Today’s run reflections: Behind your resignation, was a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th wind, or a kind gesture from a stranger, or a breeze, or some cloud cover, or maybe, if you’re really lucky, a 7/11 packed with cold AC blasting and a fridge stocked full of Pocari Sweat.
